Agreed a bit. Those rule sstart to discourage players from actually caring enough to play. I wouldn't bother due to the fact I hardly think they are fair in comparisson to the others considering Hunters already are half as good as most core book supers. Dissapointed. This chat, other than that, seems to have alot going for it...but I find those rules in desperate need of some comparrison and balance

The real game so fair is werewolf which has its official rules in the wiki. I know the ST personally and she is a great person. So if you want a werewolf game try it.

We are looking for Players and Storyteller's to come to our site and give us a shot.

We are re-working our site design, and a few other things in the coming days, so keep coming back and watch us grow and improve.

As for hunter, I apologize for the mix-up. The house rules posted to the forums, were never officially approved by myself, and has since been removed. Please keep in mind that any rules will be posted to the site, and if it is not posted to either the Character creation rules or the House rules, then they are not approved rules.

Hunter has also been temporarily closed down until we find an ST that can dedicate their time to just that venue, and has a solid grasp of the game. If you feel that might be you, then please shoot myself (IrwinW) or DennisW an email or fpm.

If you have any suggestions on how we can continue to improve our site please feel free to shoot us a suggestion.

Urban Nightmare is under new management, and growinng everyday.

CorrinneB took over as site owner, and since then there has been a couple of minor changes but for the most part things have remained the same.

Changes you will see:
- chat program is flash chat rather then pro chat.
- chat is no longer moderated, so if you have an issue with something please insure you take screen shots.
- xp is no longer awarded based on ic time. See our experience page for an overview http://www.urbannightmare.net/index.php ... Experience
- a few minor changes have been made to our character creation and house rules, but for the most part rules will be taken strickly from the books.

Venues currently oepn:
For a while we had a number of venues closed due to lack of ST's, most venues have since re-opened.

Changeling (No Limit) - changeling has just re-opened now that Gentry has joined our ST team.

Changeing Breed (Limited) - to keep with the theme of the game numbers for this venue is limited.

Geist (Not Yet Available) - until we hire an ST this venue will remain closed.

Hunter (Trial Period) - hunter numbers are currently limited due to them being in a trial phase. However until we have an ST specificly for this venue, numbers will continue to be limited even after the trial period.

Immortal (Trial Period) - currently only purified are available in limited numbers, however other immortal types will be tested as well.

Mage (No Limit) - mage ST is SamW

Mortals (No Limit) - mortal ST is Maiken

Promethean (Limited) - to keep with the theme of the game numbers for this venue is limited. Until a promethean ST is found this venue is being covered by our settings ST DennisW. The limit may increase once a Promethean ST is found.

Psychic/Thaum (No Limit) - falls under the mortal ST

Vampire (No Limit) - vampire ST is SeigeM

Werewolf (No Limit) - currently our largest venue, and handled by CorrinneB

I think she was talking about xp.

Though I am working on a side game called Infinite City in that site.

I was refering to the fact that there are not chat logs, if I used the wrong terminology, then I apoligize.

We do have a side game that is custom made (non-wod), and both an exalted game and a scion game in the works.

Stop that. Nothing wrong with flash chat. It works better than digi and I don't have to worry about it shutting down every month.

Flash Chat is the Linux of the gaming community. All the people that use it will tell you all the great things you can do with it that Windows/Digi can't. But when push comes to shove...

So instead of judging the chat base on its story, STing skills, characters, and any thing worth reporting you just decided if the chat is good or not base on what program it is using.

Says a lot about you. Didn't you turn down the starwars chat game even though everyone was saying good things about the chat?

Flashchat is a barrier to entry. I can't stand the platform so it doesn't matter how good the chat is. For whatever faults it has Digichat is better in almost every way.

Yep. I'm not embarrassed to say I'd turn down a game I enjoy because it's on a faulty platform I don't want to play on. As an aside, since you brought it up, I still heartily recommend Burne's Star Wars chat. I hear the Players and Administration there are understanding of people with a DigiChat bias and they tend not to blast people on their threads who had negative reviews of Flash Chat.
